My brothers Jonathan and Jeremiah zipped over to Minneapolis with me to catch a MK.gee concert. They have this bit about how many Taco Bell cheesy rice and bean burritos they can eat.
We were in a last-minute Airbnb pick.
After years of believing I’m ‘not a concert person,’ I realized I just wasn’t going to concerts for musicians I liked.
MK.gee had us all in the palm of his hand. He played the full concert set and we were still amped:
He played DNM. Then we’d ask for more. Then he’d deliver:
This happened twelve times, same song. Every hit of DNM’s intro, we went wild.
This is how we end up on the side of the road overlooking the freeway in Minneapolis.
Past midnight. (And totally sober).
We crept back into the Airbnb as quietly as possible. The next morning, we followed the world’s crappiest escape room rules to get out by 11am.

Jon and I took my newest quilt to a path by my house and took some pictures. I’m really pleased with it! I merged illustration and embroidery and type in ways I’m curious to play with more.
I Get No Mail and It’s Glorious. I opted out of credit card offers and mass mailers thanks to this blog post.
Two really beautiful website redesigns: Frances MacLeod’s site full of saturated color and warm pattern and Bree Goff’s restful ode to the 90s (and rethinking work!)
P.S. Happy Halloween! If you hear cackling in my neighborhood, rest assured—it’s not witches, it’s my brothers being incredibly pleased with their giant weirdo pumpkins:
How many burritos can you down? What’s your most rulesy Airbnb experience? Thanks for being here this month!
